Induction Ranges Saving The Restaurant Business

Miele induction range

I found this interesting article today about how the restaurant business has been suffering specifically in Dallas. From personal experience, I know that starting a restaurant is not a small start up. With a group of friends, I helped to begin a food truck business and just getting the licence and buying the equipment costs literally thousands of dollars. Ever sneak back into the kitchen of a restaurant, those big powerful cooktops easily run for $10,000 a pop. But thanks to recent development in induction technology, these restauranters are  switched over to induction ranges, which was significantly cheaper and just as powerful as those big commercial wolf cooktops. Just read the news article below about how a Dallas restaurant made some changes and improved their business simply by switching over to induction.

If you’re anything like me and terrible at math, you’re going to love this chart. I found it while browsing the internet and wanted to share with you all. I really never knew how much went into what aside from 8oz in one cup and that’s because I was taught to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day or 8 cups. Seriously, I wish I can print this out and stick it on my refrigerator door. It’s would be so helpful to have around. Also look forward to more awesome helpful cooking tips at induction cooktop reviews especially pertaining specifically to induction cooking!

Thermador Freedom Induction Cooktop Review – The Future of Induction Cooking?

Thermador-Freedom-Induction-Cooktop-2

Coming this July 2012, Thermador is going to be releasing a new induction cooktop called the Freedom Cooktop, which will probably change how we cook and how in the future there will be even more awesome cooktops coming out. I can sort of see a marketing theme coming out of the “Freedom” cooktop and the time that it’s also being released. Can anyone say 4th of July, Independence Day, FREEDOM COOKTOP!? As corny as the marketing maybe, this induction range comes with 48 inductor coils, which really gives you the freedom to place your pots and pans up to 4 pots and pans. Although Thermador has taken a step forward in the right direction, I think there are definitely new additions that can be made to induction, which will really reinvent how we cook.

How much is it?
